Able, Gifted & Talented
The Able, Gifted and Talented Register is a document used in St Martin’s Primary School to record all students who exhibit one or more of the following characteristics:

ABLE - very high ability, potential or attainment in one or more subject areas

GIFTED - exceptionally high ability, potential or attainment in core subjects, or outstanding ability in a single subject

TALENTED - very high ability, potential or attainment in sporting or creative subjects

Events & Workshops
Numeracy Workshop:
A group of children from year 5 & 6 who had a particular flair for maths attended a Maths Workshop at The Hereford Cathedral School.
They had a fantastic time with children from other schools. The workshop consisted of learning about numerical sequences, working out possibilities for problems, hearing about famous mathematicians and even how to create their own magic squares!

Literacy Workshop:
Recently we have arranged for Stephanie Austwick to visit school to run a creative writing workshop with our budding authors! This has always been a wonderful experience for our children, with previous years working on The Iron Giant, creating some amazing pieces of work with wonderful figurative language and great imagination.
